Sony
mobiles have announced the Sony Xperia C dual sim handset with the MediaTek
chipset. It will sport a 5 inch screen with qHD
resolution and 8MP camera with EXMOR R Sensors. All of us know Mediatek chipsets are most affordable and on the top list now a days. Along with the good performance, they also reduce costing, which finally proves a boon for end users. Its having MT6589 chipset. Housed 8MP
camera can record full HD videos.Specifications chart is out but finally it will be the
price tag that will decide its market response. Being having MediaTek
chipset, its going to be cheapest
quad core in the Sony family.
This blog is an attempt to provide informative and interactive environment for mobile phones discussion. I'll try to opt for only those which are in the reach of mediocre men and which provide a good "Price+Performance" proposition. Neither I'll post here about very hifi mobiles, nor I'll cover each and every phone. I believe in quality and not in quantity. Along with your co-operation, I'll try to provide a neat, clean and fair platform for mobile phones discussions. THANKS!

Good news for Canvas HD users: Micromax
has announced Jelly Bean 4.2 update for their Micromax A116 Canvas HD. You can grab it by visiting the Micromax Service center. In the recent past, Micromax had given 4.1.1 update for its most popular handset, Micromax A110 aka Canvas 2. In Jelly Bean 4.2 on the A116, Micromax has enabled external storage usage. Thus with 4.2 you will be able to

As Micromax has changed their FTP user / password, we cannot download and install it ourselves. But sooner or later, official Micromax A116 Android 4.2 is going to be uploaded on some other server by one of smart guys.

Fresh stock of Xolo Q800 coming with downgraded chipset MTK6589W-M !!!?
The
Xolo Q800 was a wonderful phone with an economical price tag. But it was very shocking and demoralizing when some of
the users who recently bought the Q800 have claimed that the chipset has
been downgraded. Those users are not happy with this sudden
change without any intimation and perceive it as a breach of contract.
Initially Q800 came powered with Mediatek MT6589 quad core chipset. New buyers
have complained that the chipset is MT6589M or MT6589W-M instead of MT6589.

CANVAS 2 General faqs/queries/doubts
I was prompted to write this post after seeing many A110 users (as well as prospects), wandering here and there, searching for some typical and common queries/doubts. But unfortunately they are not getting actual picture. Instead of true suggestions, they fall victims of biased reviews. All popular mobile-review websites have turned into a battle field in favor of one or another brand. Such websites fail to fulfill the actual purpose for mobile users or those fellows who visit there in hope of getting help in their final purchase decision. So in this post I have tried to address Top 11 doubts/queries about Canvas2:
Swipe-n-Share app
This unique app, called Swipe ‘n’ Share, allows the user to
transfer data from one phone to another using Wi-Fi. The transfer speed is super
fast. Its so easy and there is no need to pay the data charges.
The app
works with Android version 2.3.x and over. The app makes use of the
Wi-Fi network and connects the two handsets that need to be within the
Wi-Fi range. The transfer takes place directly over the Wi-Fi and it’s
very fast.

Gionee Dream D1 Mobile Review
India is the second-biggest cellphone market in the world. At a time
when smartphones are fast replacing feature phones, several companies
are eyeing this market with interest. One of them is Gionee, a firm that
has made a name for itself in China's phone market, which incidentally
is the largest smartphone market in the world.
